Best Health & Safety Invention For 2003 
“Toe Stoppers” took out the National Award for “Best Risk Solution 2003” to win the Best Health & Safety invention for 2003 at the Worksafe Victoria Awards 2003 judging in Melbourne on Thursday 30th October. “Toe Stoppers” competed against 154 different innovative entries to win the award category for an innovation or invention in workplace health and safety that eliminates or significantly reduces a risk.
Judging of entries is conducted by a series of panels which include representatives from employers, QH&S professional associations, coroner and unions.  Applications are judged by two independent panels.  Both panels are facilitated by a reputable, external OHS consultant. 

 

 

International Silver Medal UK Invention of the Year 2002
Toe Stoppers was entered in the largest UK invention show held in London on the 12th October 02 and won a prestigious International Silver Medal for 2002. There were 170 exhibitors and was judged by an international jury of professionals.

Toe Stoppers were entered in the world’s largest invention show held in Pittsburg Pennsylvania USA on the 18th May 02 and won a prestigious International Gold Medal for 2002. There were 1,500 exhibitors and was judged by an international jury of professionals

Toe Stoppers were entered in one of the world’s biggest invention shows held in Geneva each year and have won the prestigious International Gold Medal for the best sport and leisure invention for 2002. There were 450 exhibitors and was judged by an international jury of professionals.

Toe Stoppers were the national winner of the $50,000 cash prize Yellow Pages competition for the best invention and business idea in Australia for 2001 beating 725 of the best entries from hi-tech to human-interest.
This is one of the toughest competitions with Yellow Pages spending up to $1 million each year to run it. To win this competition you must be the best invention and business idea but also the best chance of commercialization and it is judged by professional business experts and leaders.
